AREALM Update: New Town, NPCs and Chat!

We released AREALM V0.0.1 (9) and would love your feedback on the following new features:

• Town Center: New action on the world map that will take you to a shared town portal for our alpha testers so you can make new friends and hang out

• Quest giver: Receive daily quests from the quest giver.

• Shopkeeper: Buy and items from the shopkeepers.  You can also now buy shards and keys from the shopkeeper.

What’s next?

• In-game Trading: We working on trading which will allow you to trade with other players. We also plan on having different drop rates for items depending on your real world location. The goal is to encourage in-game interactions which might lead to new friends!

• Step-tracking: We want to help our players get healthier. One idea we are floating is increased constitution (hit points) bonuses for daily or weekly walking challenges.

• Micro Augmented Reality experiences: We’re looking to experiment with more micro augmented reality experiences. Some ideas we are floating around include fishing and shooting arrows as mini-games.
